Nissan and Europcar sekapat a joint venture with Nissan Leaf opens rental service in two of Europe's busiest cities, London and Paris, starting this February.

As for the rental route is around the two cities. Because the electric-powered car mileage is very limited.

Reported by autoevolution, Friday, February 10, 2012, Vice President for Sales Operations at Nissan International SA, Guillaume Cartier, said Nissan Leaf into the solution and answer to the needs of urban communities, who need a vehicle with no emissions.

"Nissan Leaf is a car that according to the condition of roads in urban areas. Cars are environmentally friendly. This is a car that people need in the future," said Guillaume.

It also disclosed senanda Rafael Girona, Chief Operating Officer of Europcar. He said the company has long believed, suitable for urban electric car. "We want to introduce electric cars are more broadly in society, particularly through our customers," said Rafael.

Europcar car rental company is owned by the investor company Eurazeo. Europcar has its headquarters in the town of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, in France.
